Back with Some New Projects

We’re back!

After a break to work with a TEA party group, I’m back to start some new projects and use this blog as the starting point.  (I feel like Dr. Chandra in the sequel to “2001:  A Space Odyssey” waking  HAL up and getting the computer to talk again).

Watch this space over the next few weeks for some audio/podcasts, video internet ads, etc.  Some fellow TEA partiers are going to collaborate and produce generic anti-incumbent ads that can be customized and used by TEA parties all over the country.  (The theme of the first ad is “You’re fired!”  I also have a bag of plastic roaches on my desk that is begging to star in a video.  Got any ideas for that one?  We’re also planning on  recording  a series of podcasts on earmarks, highlighting extra-fat  pork and identifying those responsible).  We’ll need  help in research and appreciate any leads you can give us.    Once these projects are completed, we’ll also need  your help in distribution.  We’ll need you to download them and e-mail them out to as many as possible.  We’re in the process of setting up a website and will probably move this effort to a new blogsite there.  Whatever is decided, we’ll be sure to keep you informed on this site.

Just  when I thought life was going to get simpler!  What was I thinking?

The Arizona SB 1070 (Illegal Immigration)

Have you read the bill?  It’s only 21 pages and that includes the title and signatures!   (Maybe we should all send a copy to AG Eric Holder)?

Here it is: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2010/05/full-text-arizona-illegal-immigration-law-jan-brewer.html

The Contract from America

The Contract from America serves as a clarion call for those who recognize the importance of free market principles, limited government, and individual liberty. It is the natural extension of a movement that began in the local communities and quickly spread across America in response to unprecedented government expansion, reckless spending, and a blatant disregard by our leaders of the nation’s founding principles.

Sign it.  Pledge it.  Share it.  Spread it.

Upcoming Events in Washington D.C.

I got a call today from Paul Willjanen concerning some confusion about the events scheduled later this year in Washington D.C., especially those scheduled for the weekend of  9/11.  He noticed that there were marches listed for both Saturday, 9/11 and Sunday 9/12.  He made some phone calls and found there are two marches planned:  one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The Mount Vernon Agreement

Let Freedom Ring

Yesterday, more than 100 conservative leaders joined together to celebrate the release of the Mount Vernon Statement – a document around which the conservative movement has coalesced around to reaffirm its commitment to Constitutional conservatism and the principles of the Declaration of Independence: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Over the past year, our country has seen an abusive government that disregards listening to the American public’s outcry and disrespects the limits of the Constitution. The Mount Vernon Statement hopes to put the modern conservative movement in the right direction as our country moves forward.

This is your opportunity to make a difference. You can become part of history by signing the Mount Vernon Statement today. Please, stand with us on the historic principles of Constitutional Conservatism.

Go to http://www.themountvernonstatement.com and sign today!
